The Residence of the German Ambassador in Washington

Built in 1994, the residence of the German Ambassador draws upon both classical and modern elements. Designed by renowned German architect O.M. Ungers (1926 - 2007), it asserts a bold new vision based on the concept of the square as a continuous module. The building serves as a symbolic representation of modern Germany.
